What the gateway service covers
Our payment gateway connects an eligible game or platform to approved payment partners. During onboarding, we confirm the payment purpose and configure checkout, transaction routing, webhooks, refunds and operational controls for the merchant journey.
- Merchant onboarding: company, ownership, product, player geography, monetisation and policies.
- Checkout design: hosted or API-led payment experiences, mobile behaviour and clear failure handling.
- Payment routing: approved methods and partners selected for the merchant's payment purpose.
- Transaction state: initiation, authentication, approval, decline, timeout, refund and dispute references.
- Operational controls: access, webhooks, reconciliation, incident paths and support ownership.
Integration without hidden states
A gateway integration should make every important transition explicit. Your plan covers request authentication, idempotency, callback verification, order mapping and recovery from delayed or duplicate events.
Checkout
Choose a hosted flow when speed and reduced payment-data exposure are the priority, or an API-led flow when the approved use case needs tighter product control. The final pattern depends on merchant and partner requirements.
Webhooks and server decisions
The server, not only the player's browser, should decide whether a payment is complete. Signed callbacks and repeat-safe event handling help protect fulfilment when a tab closes, a network fails or a partner response arrives later.
Test coverage
Testing includes successful payments, declines, authentication challenges, timeouts, duplicate requests, abandoned checkout, refunds and mismatched reconciliation records.
Operate payments after launch
The gateway keeps usable references across the game order, transaction and partner response. Support can investigate a player case; risk can review patterns; finance can compare gateway activity with partner settlement records.
| Team | What the gateway should expose |
|---|---|
| Player support | Clear payment status, timestamps, references and refund state |
| Risk | Approved transaction, account, device and velocity context |
| Finance | Gateway totals, fees where supplied, refunds, disputes and reconciliation exceptions |
| Engineering | Request logs, webhook attempts, error codes and retry-safe identifiers |
Payment methods for eligible India flows
UPI, cards, net banking, supported wallets and subscription or access-fee flows may be scoped. No method is presented as guaranteed: availability is confirmed only after the game model, merchant, payment purpose and partner policies are reviewed.
International cards, currencies and cross-border payment arrangements require additional merchant, payer-location, partner and settlement checks before activation.
What the service does not claim
- No support for prohibited online money games, betting, wagering or disguised stake-based flows.
- No promise of approval, a fixed authorisation rate, instant go-live or a payment method that has not been approved.
- No representation that the gateway itself is a bank, acquiring institution or custodian of player funds.
- No replacement for the merchant's legal, tax, privacy or regulatory advice.
